Seed
Every motif is generated using randomness. Imagine the computer rolling a giant dice with millions of sides, and doing that dozens to hundreds of times for each unique motif.
The seed parameter pre-determines the outcome of each throw of the dice. You can use this together with the other parameters to re-create the pattern next time you visit this side again.
When you change the value of the seed, you will shuffle the motif.
Pattern-id
The pattern-id is the fingerprint of the pattern. You can copy this and use it at a later stage to exactly re-create the pattern. It contains the generator that was used, the random-seed and the parameters that you used. The pattern-id is included in the filename of every motif as the last part of the file name.
Downloads and licenses
Every motif you make can be downloaded in two ways.

How to get a premium download
- Make your motif. Adjust the controls in the sidebar until you have the motif you want.
- Buy a license. Under Premium downloads in the sidebar, open the download window and follow the buy link. Payment is handled securely by Lemon Squeezy. When you have paid, you receive a license key on the confirmation page and by email.
- Redeem the key. Return to the generator, open the download window, paste your key into the license key field and press Redeem. If you used the button in your confirmation or receipt email, the key is already filled in for you.
- Download. When the key is accepted, the SVG, PNG and PDF buttons become active. Download the formats you need.
Good to know
- One key, one motif. A license key gives you one image, in all three formats. For another motif, you need another license.
- Save your files straight away. A key can be redeemed only once, and we cannot generate the same image again afterwards. Download every format you may need before you close the window or leave the page.
- Keys do not expire. You can redeem a key whenever you like.
- Keep your key private. A license is personal to the buyer, and you may not share or resell keys.
Something not working?
“Invalid license key.” Check that you copied the whole key, without spaces. You can find it again on your Lemon Squeezy order page or in your confirmation email.
“This key has already been used.” Each key works once. If you did not redeem it yourself, or you did not receive your files, contact us with your order number.
“This key is for a different product.” The key belongs to another product in our shop and cannot be used on this page. Contact us if you think this is a mistake.
Something went wrong while generating. Your key was not used up. Try again after a moment. If the problem persists, contact us.
The download buttons stay grey. They only become active after you press Redeem and the key has been accepted.
I lost my files. We cannot re-issue a download for a key that has been redeemed.
Refunds. If an order is refunded, its license key is disabled and the files from it may no longer be used.
